Our goal is to get the consignment items in front of the right buyers. To do that, we use different channels to sell the collected items:
- Reselling partners: this includes consignment stores, antique shops, auction houses and specialized resellers.These tend to be local partners (though we do have a few national) that collect the items from us (“Claim”) and sell the items directly. For certain items we like working with experts in that category that can use their showrooms and contact their existing buyer base to sell the items.
- Third-party marketplaces: These includes over 50 mobile and online marketplaces such as eBay, Craigslist, OfferUp, 5Miles, ThredUp, Chairish, etc.
- The LocalFlea (www.thelocalflea.com): this is our own online marketplace.
